GTA 5 release now unlikely for 2012

The recently held E3 event in LA was a big disappointment for GTA fans because it neither brought a gameplay trailer for the much awaited GTA 5 nor did developer Rockstar North announced any release date for the eagerly-awaited action-adventure title.
GTA 5 (Grand Theft Auto) had been expected to be released in time for Christmas, but as the developer remained tight-lipped about the game at the last week’s E3 event, it is now unlikely the GTA fans will get the fifth installment in the genre this year.

Instead, it looks as if Rockstar needs more time to give a finishing touch to the game, and will release it sometime next year.
A far more likely release time for the GTA 5 can now be expected between April and May 2013. Rockstar North has a history of releasing big titles during this time period. Its Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire and GTA 4 were also rolled out between April and May.
GTA 5 will be the first major title in the GTA genre since the release of GTA 4 in 2008.
The debut trailer for GTA 5 was released on 2nd November 2011.
