Grand Theft Auto V Listed For PC on Amazon France

It seems that Grand Theft Auto V may be heading to the PC after all, if a listing from Amazon France is to be believed.

The site is currently offering the PC version for pre-order alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the title.
Whilst this could easily be a mistake, Amazon France has previous form in accurately leaking game details before publishers were ready to reveal them. To date, its list of scalps include Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the Killzone Trilogy and the European-only Assassin's Creed Anthology.

When Rockstar confirmed Grand Theft Auto V for Spring 2013, a statement noted that “for those asking about the PC platform, we're currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time.” Rockstar’s Dan Houser later told IGN “everything else is up for consideration” in regard to Grand Theft Auto V expanding to other platforms.

Normally we'd assume this is a mistake, but seeing as Amazon France hasn't been wrong yet and the fan petition asking for a PC version of the game has managed to rack up over 144,000 signatures, it's possible that Rockstar has relented.

We've reached out to the company for comment, and will be sure to update the story when we hear back.
