GTA 5 Release Window Leaked via Poster

While we already know that Game Informer will have Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 as its next cover game, we don't have to wait to know a little bit more about the game -- though how little it may be.

Courtesy of Polish Grand Theft Auto fan forum GTA-Five, a leaked European pre-order poster confirms what some people were expecting...that Grand Theft Auto 5 will be out in Spring 2013. Now, keep in mind that there is a chance that the poster below is a fake; but based on Game Informer's cover story hitting in November, and Rockstar launching the game's official Facebook page, it wouldn't surprise me if this was legit. I mean, this is just the release window and not the release date, after all.

Here are two good looks at the posters.

Before you drop by your preferred retailer and place a pre-order, keep in mind that we don't know if this "Spring 2013" release window is a worldwide date, or just for the European market. Odds are, it can be for both as the franchise's last major entry -- Grand Theft Auto 4 -- was released simultaneously worldwide across the U.S., Europe and Australian territories.

What's also noteworthy in the poster is the exclusion of a PC or Wii U logo. Yep, look at it again and you can plainly see just the Xbox 360 and PS3 logos on there and nothing else. Is this confirmation that it won't come to the PC? Probably not, but this could mean that the franchise won't be making an appearance on the Wii U.

So, there you go. If true, and chances are it is, we can expect the next Grand Theft Auto entry on Spring of 2013; which, if you think about it, isn't that far ahead. If this isn't enough to quench your Grand Theft Auto 5 thirst, just take solace in the fact that next month's Game Informer issue will most likely result in an info dump for Rockstar's highly-anticipated title.

Are you okay with a Spring 2013 release? What about it not listed for the Wii U? Sound off and let us know.
